How to use the Flow Totalizer Sensor

This is your Flow Totalizer dashboard. You can select different sensors using the dropdown menu (1) in the top left of the page.

Your flow totals and flow rates are posted here once an hour.

3.) Setting Alarms

Press the bell button “Set Alarm Thresholds” on the top left to open the alarm tool. Here you can set threshold that will trigger an email and Flora Cloud notification. You will receive at most 1 alarm from each hourly or daily usage alarm per sensor each day. Example: You exceed your hourly and daily water usage alarm: you receive 2 alarms in one day.

The two alarms will trigger if you exceed an hourly total flow and/or a daily water usage.

4.) Interpreting the Data

Your flow totals throughout the day change depending on flow rates, water supply demand and leaks. With long term and high frequency data collection, you can be confident in your irrigation scheduling and leak diagnosis. Pinpoint failures and improve your distribution uniformity with data to drive infrastructure improvements. Account for how much water you are using with automated data collection for the end of the year reporting.
